Affilate program. SFI.. Waiting for a few good people

SFI affiliates make commissions on a teir system.

It's like working at Primerica. Not really.. but you have a couple of options at SFI. Promote, Sell and Recruite. What you do is up to you.

But the difference is up to you. You can promote products anyway you feel fit. In someways it's like an online amway.

Check it out

There is no associated cost envolved in checking it out. The products they offer can be sold by you on e-bay or you can promote links to affiales sites.

The system has a decent information package that is laid out and you should be able to figure out that is you work at it. You could turn this into some money. But yet again, that is with anything in life.

Affilate Tip.

When creating a link to an affiliate, if it's appropriate add a email-opt in box. If you do this, you will create an email subscription list to send relevant offers to people looking for the products. Try Collecting the e-mail address and a few check boxes of different categories and ask them if they want any offers sent to them.

Building a list of decent online buyers is a great way to promote any product.

Google Pay Per Action - Is it worth it

So Google launched the PPA campaign for google adsense.

If you don't have a google adsense account get it now!

Once you have your google adsense account, you can not only access google's content network and place the all too familiar google ads. You can sign up to the Google Referral's beta, this is google Pay Per Action program. You can customize links by categories or pick single creatives.

Now if you've used the Commission Junction Smart zones.. it's google answer to a smart zone, but they control the content for you. They add the companies. You don't have to apply to the company. That being said.

Will google's pay-out's match the other affilate programs like CJ,Linkshare,Red Golashes and such, or will goolge pay out lower. We will see. You don't really get any information on what % is being offered on the commission or what your PPA will be defined on a company basis.

I do like that this way of doing things, On some of my content pages, I don't have to worry about managing that ad space. It's the same reason I like using adsense.
I'm sure for some application the other companies will be a better fit.

When more companies affiliate with google referral, we will have a better Idea on what the PPA (Price Per Action) market will be like.

I'm sure also google ref will lay down a lot of usage rules on using the new referals.

Using Email to Market Affiliates

One rule about marketing to e-mail. You need to make sure your not breaking any anti-spam laws.
If your interested in marketing in this area. You need to.
  • Build or Buy a targeted e-mail address list. Buying an address is actually a shady area. You need to make sure that the e-mail address on that list where obtained in a legal fashion and that the customer base that you e-mail have a sure way to opt-out of any future communication that you send them.
  • Get Creative for your e-mail from your affiliate marketer.
  • Create an attractive HTML page that you can import into a email mailer application. (I wrote a simple e-mail .net smtp application that pulls a template HTML and plugs in the email from a e-mail database and processes it that way. )

Disclaim the email to identify that it's not being sent by the company, that it is an advertisment. Be upfront about what you are sending.

Link the email link back to your site, not the company that you are affiliates with.

Redirect that with a META redirect tag to Commission link.

(This is a great place to tag the HTTPUtility information to a database to record the traffic information.)

Please make sure you read you e-mail contracts with your affiliates. Most will outline what rules and disclaimers you need to follow.

If you really want to be upfront. Create opt-in forms on your websites to allow users to accept email for caterogies they are interested in. This will also help you understand what your users want to read. It builds you a solid targeted user based to promote different promotions.

Use your e-bay store for even more

Let say you have set up your pro-store or ebay listing to sell Baby Strollers. You are getting 100 to 200 views on that listing but no sale. Turn it into profit by linking an affiliate like Baby Universe to that listing. See, if 1% of that traffic turns into a sale at a affiliate site you could make 20-30 dollars in commission.
The point I'm making on this, is that some people may want to buy brick and mortor, some will buy e-bay some people are just browsers. Make what ever you are selling attractive, but you can always turn browsers into buyers and generate commision, if your product sells and you also sell commission goods than your laughing.
Remember, It's always best to try and sell what is a hot item. Do some research on which ever products you feel worth risking your hard earned money.
Ebay posts a great sellers website that has the previous months HOT items. These may not translate and carry month over month, but some of it can be trend forcasted. Some of it carrys month to month. Some carries seasonal from year to year.

http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/whatshot.html Just a little gift! Everyone starts somewhere and ebay has done a pretty decent job at making tools available to make you successful. If you make money, ebay makes money. Ebay is in the business to make money!

Submitting Articles with content links

Some article sites will not accept links in the Body section of the article. Some allow links but restrict the amount of links that they will accept in the body. You will only figure this out by trial and error.

Try using a article submission application. It will help organize your submission sites, passwords and category's as well as semi-automate your submission process.

In the body content you are able to paste HTML code. So if you've already blogged a decent amount of good, timeless reusable content, than you already have a great start of article that can be sumitted.

Lets say you have 1 article and you post it to 50 article sites and those 50 site pass on your article to 50 more sites, you have instant exposure on lets say 2500 sites, with just 1 article. Let's say that you linked your personal site or a affilate link in that. Well the possiblities are endless.

This in theory could with the right article and the right readers provide a great marketing device. "viral" marketing.

So try placing links in the body. Some accept it. Some don't. Some allow it in the resource box.

Keep trying new topics and new idea's I'm sure you might make enough to buy a pint the next time your out. Maybe you'll hit it big. Maybe you be saying this is the best way to create traffic to your site, with out paying for it.
