Enable Position Preference in your Google adwords

Increasing website traffic is basically what every website owner is after and one of the largest money making markets on the internet.

1. You are paying a advertising program to display website ads (Google Adwords, Yahoo Overture, etc), which may be costing more at a CPC (cost per click) then you like.
2. You are paying a auto generating traffic generator to advertise your site for you. This I feel is a bit shady as most are pop ups - pop unders, send browser exit redirects.

Using Affiliate Marketing to make money on the internet 101

Idea 1. Building a site. Using Blogger, linking affilates

Steps.

• Register a domain name

• Setup a hosting service with a website hosting company.

• Create a blog with Blogger.com and use the advanced option to save to your own website ftp (file transfer server)

If you are asking why you shouldn't just use blogger to host the blog you can. But your own site comes in hand for other ways to add to your income stream. I'll get into that later.

Biggest reason for having your site host the blog is that you can include the sites blog into many more search engines that limit the amount of submission from site names.

Blogger.com will hit it's max on engines like MSN live search before you ever get it added.

• Create an account at CJ.com (Commission Junction) or LinkShare or Red Goloshes.

Now that you have a blog setup. Now you need to pick topics to write about. The more you write about a topic you know. The more text that is added, the more "FOOD" for the search engines to chew up.

• Write your head off! And embed links into your blog articles. If you are writting about brand new cars.. link it.
• Submit your site to the search engines.

This idea takes time, lots of work and isn't a get rich idea. This is about writing about topics you know about, linking to affiliate products that are products that your reader base would find useful and would actually buy.

Remember, the more content that is new, fresh, unique. The more the search engines will love you. Yahoo and Google spend plenty of time and effort in matching duplicate text and driving those pages to the bottom of the index.

It's true. Money is being made but not by everyone. Most of us enjoy a small supplemental income generated by different sources.

Remember the 80's, the biggest money making idea for do little make it big, was about placing 1-800 ads in local news papers. Place many ads and generate call in's and you'd be paid per call to you number extension. Generate enough, make it big.

I guess if you think about it. Money can be made.

Idea 1.
Create a website on your niche topic, place google ads and get paid for the click. Now unless you can drive tons of traffice to your niche site, you are not going to make it big.
So you can make many sites. Well this can be a full time job.
Idea 2.
You might try creating an article site, you can join an article site that promises that the articles you are paying for a not flooded on the internet. Search engines love new content. Using article RSS feeds to generate content mostly consists off articles that are usually skipped over by the search engines as they are found to be duplicate content. So using applications like HyperVRE to find and link RSS feeds and Public articles to templated mass generated website usually don't make it on the search engines. Also doing this makes other people money. See the article has other peoples affiliate links and click scripts embedded. So using it is a great ways to make money for other people.
Idea 3.
This is another great way to make some money. Affiliate Marketing.. Clinkbank, Commision Junction,Red Goloshes, Link Share etc.. are all trying to get you to place there javascripts on your site. What is this.. well you sign up.. sign up to different companies and you place thier ads. (Amex, Capital One, Ebay, 1-800 Contacts etc) They will pay you a commission if someone buy something after using the click from the ad you places on your site, using overture or google, etc.
A couple issue and unless you drive a lot of traffic you'll notice it.. you get the clicks but you don't get paid.. how come.. 1. They didn't buy anything. They did but it was on a return trip and the computer didn't allow the cookie to be saved and your linking information was lost.
Now if you pay for a lot of clicks or generate a lot of traffic from you own sites this can make money.
What I'm saying is it's a gamble, keywords are expensive. a list of the top paying key words shows that you would have to convert a high amount of Clicks to get a ROI (Return on Investment)
If you can find a low paying keyword and generate high traffic and generate clicks that convert you would be laughing. I'm still searching.

Actually this doesn't work that well.. Adwords actually allows for a serperate setting for the content network and Max CPC. Most advertisers believe that the content network generates lower conversions than the search engine listings.
